This rare cacao is wild harvested by the indigenous Piaroa peoples of the Venezuelan Orinoco basin.  Transport of the beans requires up to 2 days by canoe, due to geographic isolation.  This has protected the genetics of this delicate bean, allowing for a truly unique chocolate with flavors of cream, cashew and dark fruit.
